We so often miss his voice with all the other noise around us but it is there; we just need to learn how to tune into it. Hearing his voice requires us to use both sides of our brain: the logical, analytical, and rational left side and the intangible, creative right side. Using our left logical side of our brain, we ask God to speak to us, confident he will. We are loved, forgiven and enough. God wants to talk to us. Now we must turn our left brain off and use our right, more intuitive brain to listen.
God speaks through his Holy Spirit to the eyes of our hearts Ephesians , which we access through our right brains. The key to listening with our right brain is to engage in activities that help us switch off our left brain and switch on our right brain.
Now we get to turn our left brains back on and test what we think we might have heard. John 10 expands on this wonderful theme. Jesus is able to lead us precisely because we hear his voice and follow after him. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. In the next verse, Jesus makes the point that we should not follow any other voice. Later Jesus alludes to the gentiles who will also hear his voice and follow him.
I must bring them also. Our Lord Jesus is very happy to lead us as his disciples and those who follow him should be able to hear his voice and receive the guidance we need. It is part of our birthright when we are born again by the Holy Spirit and become followers of Jesus. But what about those other voices? How can we be sure we are hearing only from our Lord?
Earlier, when Jesus commissioned his disciples, he gave them power and authority to drive out all demons and to cure diseases, sending them out to proclaim the kingdom of God and to heal the sick Luke After this Jesus sent out 72 others to do the same Luke I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. We know that Jesus has all authority in heaven and on earth.www.dogsandtrail.com/images/judosyn/3761-tren-de.php

How can we be sure we are not hearing our own thoughts? In his second letter to the Corinthians, Paul suggests that we can also take authority over our own thoughts to make them obedient to Christ. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. I have personally found that the best way to do listening prayer is with a small group of people, as opposed to trying it alone. This is especially so if we are new to it.

Top 17 Bible Verses-How To Hear God
When God asks you to do something and you disobey him, it creates distance between you and God. The further you are from someone, the harder it becomes to hear them. Obedience is the key to growing intimacy with God, and it will result in the ability to hear his voice loud and clear. We are not qualified by social status, talents, looks, righteousness, knowledge, or ability. We are qualified by our willingness to listen and obey.
Hearing God's Voice
Hearing is not just for extra-spiritual people. Desire is not the same as wanting. When you desire something, you pursue it.
Passively wanting to hear from God is not the same as desiring it so much that you forsake all else in the pursuit of it. Here are three steps you can take right away to get started. God is searching for people who will listen not just because he desires us to do his will, but because he wants intimacy with his children. Supernatural experiences are cool, but intimacy is precious above all.
